Personality:The girl Sally was when she was last at school is long gone. She was a bubbly, intelligent, sociable girl back when she was in her first three years as a Ravenclaw. Her old friends wouldn't recognize Sally at all now. She's been in Azkaban since she was thirteen years old and that old personality has all but been eclipsed by the craziness brought on by dementors. Every now and then you can catch glimpses of the old Sally, but they're shortl-lived and far between. She's incredibly easy to manipulate and will often trust anyone who shows her an ounce of compassion. She's practically incapable of lying at this point. She was broken of the habit by interrogations by death eaters, too much torture. She hates being a werewolf, and at this point, she truly believes she stole her magic. She comes across as childlike and naive, because she is. Though she was seventeen when she died, she never really progressed beyond her thirteen-year-old self. Everything is black and white, and it is the way she's told it is. If someone says she's wrong, she apologizes. If someone says she did good, she thanks them and feels proud. She's easily frightened and tends to curl into herself. She's physically very strong but is unaware of it and is scared of her werewolf side. Shifting in a cell for four years can do that to a person. She vacillates between extremes, happiness, sadness, anger and numbness. There's really no in between. During her time in Azkaban, she went a little bit feral. With no training to control her wolf side, the instincts of the animal took over just a bit, resulting in odd habits and mannerisms. She craves being close to others nearly constantly, and people who take charge, she sees in much the same way as she would an alpha. In pack terms, she would most certainly be a submissive. Personal History: ally-Anne was born the first child of a lower-middle-class family in Liverpool. Her dad was a dock worker and her mother worked in a factory. Sally and her younger brother, Bryce, never had much but they didn't want for anything, either. They had friends in the neighborhood, and everything was normal until Sally was seven years old and her mom wouldn't let her play with a candle. Somehow the little girl managed to light a neighbor kid's action figure on fire without any help whatsoever. Needless to say, her parents flipped out. After many hushed discussions about what was wrong with her, they never spoke of the incident again. Her brother's first show of magic came when he was nine. Sally got her Hogwarts letter on her eleventh birthday and everything suddenly made sense. It was difficult for her parents to believe at first, but a trip to Diagon Alley cleared up any doubt. She was off to Hogwarts. Sally was sorted into Ravenclaw, where she made fast friends with her yearmates. She wasn't shy, she was sociable and friendly and bright. For three years, she had the time of her life. Her brother came the year after and was sorted into Hufflepuff, which meant they didn't get to see each other a lot. Still, she was happy, really, really happy. Summers were good, too. She got to see her family again and that was all a girl needed, school, friends and her family. Then came the summer after third year. She'd just gotten out of school in June and was visiting with a friend from school for a couple of days. The girls were "camping out" in the woods behind the country house when Sally wandered off to find some more wood for the fire. The full moon shone above, casting silver light on all the trees. Suddenly, Sally was staring down an enormous wolf, snarling, saliva dripping from his long teeth. He didn't attack immediately, just circled her, as if sizing her up. Sally froze for an instant and then took off running, leaping for a tree branch to pull herself up out of reach. The wolf caught her ankle, drawing blood from a deep series of teeth marks. She went back to the campsite, shaken, but wrapped her ankle in a spare tee shirt and didn't say anything. She knew what had happened. It was a werewolf, and she couldn't tell a soul. A month later, she locked herself in her room and braced for the worst. She hoped that she wouldn't turn, that she'd been mistaken, that she wasn't a werewolf. Unfortunately, her suspicions had been correct. The fourteen year old girl shifted into a reddish brown wolf as soon as the moon rose outside, and the lock on her door couldn't hold up to the strong animal slamming against it in a desperate fury to get out. That night, she attacked and killed her mother, father, and younger brother. She knocked a candle off the table in the living room, catching the drapes on fire, as well as her fur, resulting in the scars on her chest. Sally doesn't remember much about this night at all. She was told she killed them by the aurors who came and took her away, but she can't recall anything but the flames. Over the years, the memory has mutated and she believes her family was burned by the fire. The wizarding community was in transition at the time, moving toward Death Eater control. There wasn't a trial but there wasn't an announcement in the Prophet, just a hurried cover up. They couldn't find a place for the girl. She seemed violent and half-crazed, possibly from the trauma, but Mungo's wasn't a safe place for a werewolf either. Someone decided that Azkaban would be the "safest place" for her and everyone else. That's how Sally came to be a prisoner. When the death eaters took control, Sally's life, already a mess of trauma from the dementors, became a thousand times worse. She was a muggleborn. The few human guards who came into contact with her often tried to torture information from her, creating a fear of people. She still jumps if a wand is drawn on her, fearing the worst. The guards also quickly realized that she was terrified of fire, and often would play with her by lighting controlled blazes in her cell, just enough to drive her to hysterics. She doesn't bear any permanent physical scars from the abuses she suffered in Azkaban, but the psychological damage is evident enough. She died just months before the battle at Hogwarts, which might have ensured her freedom. A nasty virus swept through the prison, and due to the chill of the North Sea in winter and the complete lack of medical care, Sally passed away on New Year's Day, 1998 at age 17. She was brought to this new world at age 15, the same terrified girl she was upon her death. Physical:Sally usually looks at least somewhat unkempt. Her hair is a little too long and is usually at least a little bit tangled, and she often forgets to brush it. She washes it as often as she remembers, though she sometimes fails to see the point of showering every day. She dresses well thanks to her owner, but she always looks uncomfortable in the robes. She's really thin, but she's lost the skeletal appearance she had when she died. She's got a burn scar from the night her parents died all over the right side of her chest, up to the bottom of her neck, and over part of her right upper arm. Her blue eyes belie her vulnerability and often her fear. She rarely wears makeup or uses glamour charms, but even so her eyelashes are thick and long. She tends to avoid eye contact with people, even those she knows well. Her body language often is evasive as well, arms crossed over her chest, keeping a distance between herself and strangers. in this new world.
